I can’t believe we’re already halfway through June! Summer break is flying by, and I’m trying to savor every moment. Mid-month is a perfect time to pause and reflect on what’s bringing me joy, calm, or even a little chaos. Here’s a peek into what I’m reading, watching, listening to, creating, and loving right now. I’d love for you to share your currents in the comments!
Currently Reading: Picking Daisies on Sundays📚
I am still over here reading Picking Daisies on Sundays by Liana Cincotti and I am loving it so far. It follows Daniella “Daisy” Maria, a quirky, hopeless romantic in her final year of college. She’s spent years crushing on Levi, her childhood best friend, only to be gently turned down. Fast-forward four years: Daisy’s in New York, prepping for grad school and nursing old wounds, when she runs into Levi in a crowded West Village bar. He asks her to pretend to be his girlfriend for his sister’s wedding and suddenly the lines between “fake” and “real” start to blur. It’s a friends-to-lovers, fake-relationship romance with all the feels: sweet, funny, and beautifully nostalgic. It's the perfect book for curling up on a Sunday afternoon.
I’m halfway through Picking Daisies on Sundays, and it’s the kind of light-hearted romance that feels like a cozy hug on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Once I finish it, I will post a review!

Currently Watching: Reconnecting with Community 📺
My husband and I try to pick a show to spend our evenings before bed to watch together. This time around it is my pick and I chose to watch Community. Now, I have seen this series before, but he has never seen it. This show is one of the funniest shows I have ever seen and I am so glad that my husband gets to experience it.
Community is one of those shows that’s equal parts hilarious and weird in the best way. It’s about this totally mismatched group of community college students who somehow become the closest of friends through all their ridiculous adventures. Think pop culture parodies, meta jokes, and some seriously offbeat characters. Each episode is like a little creative experiment, and the chemistry between the cast just makes you want to hang out with them for real. It’s the kind of show that makes you laugh out loud but also sneak in some sweet, unexpected moments about friendship and growing up.
Currently Listening: Jonas Brothers, Twenty One Pilots & More 🎧
I'm sure that you can guess what I'm listening to lately.... No it's not just Joe Jonas, it's the whole Jonas Brothers! They dropped a live album on June 13th and I keep playing it on repeat. It's reminding me of all the memories from the concerts I went to back in 2023 and it's hyping me up to see them again in October.
Not only have I been listening to that, but Twenty One Pilots released a new song, The Contract, that has found its way into my playlist. I have been a huge fan of theirs since early middle school and their music just keeps getting better and better. Lastly, I have been listening to The Strokes a little bit. I've known a few of their songs, but I have been listening to more of them and I am obsessed with their vibe!
Currently Creating: Blog Updates & TikToks ✍️
I don't have a whole lot of creative projects going on, but I have been in full-blown blog and creator mode. I have been trying to grow this blog and it has been so much fun. The main focus has been writing blogs and creating TikToks to build an audience over there too. I have found a decent amount of success and am almost at 200 followers! I mostly post my thrift finds there, so if you want to follow along click here!
Currently Loving ❤️
I have been loving so many things lately like experimenting with new meals, thrifting, and just simply reading. Those heartland mugs I thrifted? They instantly brighten my mornings with their vintage charm. I also picked up another thrift wishlist item: a Tiffany style lamp. The stained glass on them is gorgeous so the fact that I have one is still mind blowing to me. I have been loving miso soup and ramen. They are both so easy to make and are a comfort food of mine. Let me know if you want me to share those recipes!
This may sound crazy considering it is SUMMER in FLORIDA, but I have been loving the warm weather. Mostly in the evenings when the sun is starting to go down though. There's just something about it that, in small doses and preferably with shade, makes me happy. Maybe it's just because it's summer and I don't have to work, not because of the warm weather. Anyways, I have a love-hate relationship with the weather here! Ask me tomorrow and I will probably be complaining about the heat!
Just remember, we don't always need a milestone to come up before you take a minute to reflect. If you journal, it's nice to look back at where you were at different points in your life and it's worth celebrating those mid-month pauses! I truly look forward to this monthly blog updates to share what I'm enjoying lately and I hope you enjoy reading them.
