On Loop posts are all about the music that I am vibing with lately, and that is something that changes quite frequently. Sometimes the vibes are Bring Me The Horizon, while other times it is Joe Jonas, like it is right now. My current soundtrack for the summer is Joe Jonas' new album: Music for People Who Believe in Love. This album is entirely summer vibes, and I will be jamming out to it all summer long. It was supposed to come out back in October of 2024, but I am honestly thankful for the brief delay, as this entire album radiates summer.

The Jonas Brothers have played a key part in my musical journey since I was a little girl. I was even supposed to see them on the Camp Rock 2 tour back in 2010. It was very crushing to find out that the concert was canceled; however, I did get to finally see the Jonas Brothers perform twice in October of 2023. My mom surprised my sister and me with tickets for my sister's 16th birthday, which was already healing my inner child enough. There was a second date announced 3 days before the show we went to, but my mom waited until the day before to score amazing seats to the side of the stage! I guess you could say that this band has been a key part of our bond with one another.

Franklin Jonas and Joe Jonas singing Velvet Sunshine at Universal Mardi Gras in February 2025.

Fast forward to February 2025, my mom, sister, and I waited about 13 hours in the Florida heat to see Joe Jonas perform at Universal's Mardi Gras. We heard so many of the songs on this album before they were even released, and again, I just knew it was going to be perfect for summer! We got to hear "Parachute," "Only Love," “Constellation,” and "Velvet Sunshine," along with all the singles that were released up until that point. Franklin Jonas even came out to sing "Velvet Sunshine" that night, so every time I hear the song, I just see Franklin running around the stage.

Take a second to listen to at least a couple of songs off the album. I'm sure that at least some of the songs are going to be added to your summer playlist!

🎶 New Post Alert!

I just shared all about my Jonas Brothers concert weekend: a nostalgia-filled side quest that reminded me why music is such a special kind of magic.
